Week Five-Auburn and
Pawnee Remain Undefeated
Both Teams Qualify for the Playoffs
Pawnee 14 Girard 12
The Indians played their closest game of the season and came back in the final
quarter to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Girard jumped out to a quick lead off the strong running of Cody Thompson who
once again topped 100 yards rushing in a game this season for the Big Red. He
finished a Big Red drive with a 9-yard TD run. Thompson scored again in the
first quarter on a 21-yard TD run. Girard failed to convert on either 2-point
conversion and the Big Red led 12-0.
Pawnee got on the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter when Justin Cole plunged into
the endzone on a 1-yard run. The Indians didn't convert on the 2-point
conversion and trailed 12-6 at halftime.
The defenses continued to dominate throughout the 2nd half. Pawnee finally got a
drive going in the 4th quarter and eventually capped the drive on a TD run by
Pat Donahue. Justin Cole then took the 2-point conversion passed the goal line
to give Pawnee a 14-12 lead and the ballgame.

Bobby Vanderwal scored a TD in the 3rd quarter for Riverton to cut the lead to
21-7. After a 3-and-out, the Hawks marched back down the field, but they fumbled
on the 1 and Auburn had a long return the other way to take away the Riverton
momentum and ice the game.

Williamsville 21
The Pretzels picked up their 2nd win of the season as New Berlin had their best
offensive game of the season. On the first Pretzel drive, New Berlin took the
ball right down the field and eventually scored on a 2-yard Aaron Crossin TD
run. New Berlin missed the extra point.
The two teams traded possessions and Earl Hollinshead then took a New Berlin
punt 90 yards to paydirt. After the extra point, the Bullets led 7-6. The
Pretzels misfired on the next special teams play when the kickoff was muffed and
covered by the Bullets. Williamsville marched down a short field and eventually
scored to lead 14-6 early in the 2nd quarter.
The New Berlin offense then began to get on track as Konner Beer scored on a
15-yard TD run on the next possession. Williamsville had a turnover and short
punt that led to two more NB touchdowns. Crossin scored his 2nd TD of the game
and Kody Kirkpatrick connected with Kyle Crow on a 14-yard TD pass before
halftime. At the half, the Pretzels led 24-14.
Williamsville cut the lead to 24-21 halfway through the 3rd quarter on a 1-yard

Berlin scored with about 4 minutes remaining when Konner Beer escaped on a
30-yard TD run. The Pretzels had a strong ground game all day with over 300

Week Four-The Trojans Hang on to Victory
Auburn 21 New Berlin 19
The Auburn Trojans came into New Berlin on Friday night with the #2 ranking in
2A, but the Pretzels came ready to play against Auburn; however, the Trojans
still held on to victory in their closest game of the season.
New Berlin took a 6-0 lead on their first drive of the game. Aaron Crossin was
steady the entire drive with big carries for the Pretzels. The Pretzels finished
the drive when Kody Kirkpatrick hit Chris Traindl in the endzone for a 13-yard
TD. The extra point was missed.

drive stalled at midfield and Auburn took possession on a short field and added
another score right before halftime with another Bates to Busch pass. Auburn
missed the extra point, but led 13-6 at halftime.
To begin the 3rd quarter, the Trojans got a big gain on the kickoff. They
finished the drive on an Eric Cerve 21-yard TD run. Cerve also ran in the
2-point conversion and led 21-6. It appeared the rout was on, but the Pretzels
battled the rest of the evening and kept Auburn out of the endzone for any more
scores.
Aaron Crossin keyed another Pretzel drive with key runs down the field. He
finished the drive with a 2-yard TD plunge. The Pretzels could not convert on
the 2-point conversion. The Pretzels made another strong drive with 8 minutes to
go in the contest. Kirkpatrick finished the drive by hitting an open Devin
Bergschneider in the middle of the endzone and trail 21-19. New Berlin had a
great defensive series on the next possession, but the Trojans proved to just as
strong on their defensive side of the ball to hang onto victory.

Week Three-The Indians Are For Real!!!
Pawnee 22 Virden 6
The Pawnee Indians improved to 3-0 for the first time since their current group
of senior were in kindergarten. These Indians are ready to change that tradition
and head back to the playoffs. With their win this past Friday, they are well on
their way.

QB Keeper. Justin Cole scored on the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 halftime
lead.

and will certainly melt the time away if they get a chance.
In the 4th quarter, Dillon Pearce added the final TD for the Indians and gave
Pawnee a 22-0 lead. Tyler Stanton broke free on a 73-yard TD run for the
Bulldogs with about 8 minutes left, but that was as close as Virden would get.

The Wildcats got back to their winning ways as they salted away the Pretzels
with their punishing ground game. Adam Osmoe and Paul Rademacher led the attack
for the Wildcats as some key passes early helped open up the ground game for Mt.
Olive.
On their first drive, the Wildcats marched right down the field on the Pretzels.
A key pass play loosened up the Pretzel defense and then the Osmoe-Rademacher
show went to work. Rademacher eventually punched in the first TD on a 4-yard
run.
A good kickoff pinned New Berlin deep in their own territory. On 3rd-and-long,
Mt. Olive got to NB QB Kody Kirkpatrick and got the sack in the endzone to give
Mt. Olive a 9-0 edge. The Pretzels then had to kickoff from the 20 and the
Wildcats started with a short field. Rademacher eventually scored and Mt. Olive
went on top 15-0.
Osmoe later scored on the Wildcats first drive of the 2nd quarter to take a 22-0
lead. A number of penalties killed Wildcat drives throughout the evening. New
Berlin moved the ball well at times in the contest, but couldn't put together a
consistent drive against an aggressive Wildcat defense.

carries.
Auburn got the scoring going with two first quarter TD passes to Cole Busch and
Josh Sergent. Bates connected with Busch on a 52-yard TD pass. Dambacher started
